I have tested this, here is few things I have found:

1. Traces are not sent to host
2. Running node app.js or npm start fails due to not having dotenv library
   context: nodejs cannot import envs directly from the .env file, so when we use .env file we need to use dotenv library otherwise the run will fail

Not really, I tried, but wasn't able to pinpoint the cause of it. However, the PR solves the environment file issue. I can have another look
