Feature Request: JSON Output Support for Command Results

Hi,

I’m using sshsync to execute commands across multiple servers. I’d like to know if there is currently a way to collect the output from all servers in JSON format.

If this feature isn’t available yet, would it be possible to consider adding JSON formatted output for easier parsing and integration?

Hey @Niba-nazar , if you only want the results as json, you can access that in the logs. But if you want json output (stdout,stderr) that would need to be implemented

I also wanted to ask—apart from the .ssh/config settings, is there anything else I need to configure in order to access a remote server via a jump server?

Here’s what I’m currently using in my .ssh/config:

Host myserver-jump
  HostName <IPADDRESS>
  User <username>
  Port <port_no>
  ForwardAgent yes

Host targetserver
  HostName <IPADDRESS> 
  User <username>
  ProxyJump myserver-jump

With the above configuration, I'm able to successfully access the jump server. However, when trying to connect to targetserver, I get the following error:

Unexpected error: [Errno 110] Connect call failed ('19x.x.x.x', 22)

Let me know if I’m missing something or if there are additional steps I need to take.

Thanks for sharing your config! Currently, sshsync doesn’t support ProxyJump or jump servers, so connections requiring jump hosts won’t work yet. You’ll need to connect without jump servers for now.
