better armor/hull material selector

so im currently making a mod that adds a bunch of new stuff to BDarmory, one of those are a a whole lot of new armor materials (20+). but the in-game armor selector isnt very good for dealing with lots of armor materials

some kind of drop-down or popup window would where each material is in list like what is used by interstellar fuel switch would be neat

here is a screenshot of what i mean. but instead of fuels, the different armor materials would be listed.
