hello,
I saw this old ticket of yours saying download badge would not work.
I'm helping with a repo and it's python also and can't get download badge to work and there is no download_count on the API page. I mostly do testing on soldering iron that the app is for and documentation of how to use it and no so much on github side knowledge.
ticket i saw from 2016 where you asked for help but I see you fixed it so this is a shot in the dark.
could you let me know how you got yours working and how your API now shows download_count so I could do the same thing? thank you so much.
