Improve Input command structure

Statement

I would like to apply some standard structure to the serial commands passed into the board.

Background

Currently I use a command-param-param-param format when passing commands. But I want to include more standardized responses, better command validation (in case of missing params etc)

Note to self: this may be dealt with by moving to a MQTT format (not sure, need to familiarize myself with the format)
