Chapter 7: Youtube example is not resolved?

I hope this is the right platform to discuss this issue. First off, I think this textbook is extremely well made and I really appreciate your effort to make this resource publicly available! Your textbook is very inspiring for preparing my own lectures on the topic.

The introduction of chapter 7 (Behaviorism) uses the example of YouTube's recommendation algorithm. The introductory section then closes with the statement:

At the close of this chapter, we will return to the YouTube example to examine their algorithm as a modern case of implementing behavioral principles at massive scale.

That sounds tremendously exciting! However, I could not find this analysis of YouTube's algorithm at the end of the chapter, or anywhere else. Is this content missing?

Thanks for pointing this out. The content is missing, and I totally forgot to add it.

On that point about connections between Youtube's algorithm and behaviorism, what I have been doing in class is assigning students to listen to the NYC Rabbit Hole podcast on that topic, and then have them consider and write about connections to behaviorism concepts we discussed in lecture.

In any case, I need to fix this part of the chapter. What I will probably do right now is remove the promise that this will be discussed at the end of the chapter. And, I'll leave this issue open until I find time to go back in write some closing remarks.
