I work on behalf of my client Vestmark.

I'm contacting you because my client has detected your name associated with the ransomware code in the repositories published here. particularly in the following commits:

b47a79e

README.md line 72

My client doesn't want to be commercially associated with ransomware; it looks bad and causes reputational damage.
Please remove my client's name and any other reference to him from this repository.

Hi, could you please delete line 72 8cb8d8d on this commit, or put this commit as private? Since the name of the client is still visible there.

The client is concerned about being associated with ransomware. We're not asking you to delete the code, just the line that mentions our client as a ransomware partner. I understand that the code, like the rest of the repository, is for educational purposes.

Hi, I gave it a try but I was only able to remove the commit from my own repositories history since it isn't my commit.
You may have to ask the owner of the fork/commit about it or contact GitHub support to redact the reference for your client.

i tried to remove the commit from my fork and i was only been able to make it not display in my commits (the side effect was that my fork was some commits behind the main repo) but i was still been able to see it when comparing my fork and main repo so ultimately i gave up and just reforked the repository
