Fix Crossfade issues

Describe the bug

• Fix cross fade breaking with pairs
• Fix cross fade not happening for Flipping

To reproduce
use crossfade with a paired character, see it breaking
use crossfade with flipping your character, it won't crossfade the 2 states

Expected behavior
crossfading reliably happens for the above
