Auto Add Directive

Is there a way to auto add the tracking directive to ALL elements of specific types? Would love to track all button clicks without having to add the directive explicitly to all buttons in a larger app.

Hi @janstadt

There is no way with Angular to implicitly add a directive to all elements matching selector. You must add an import in your standalone @Component component or @NgModule.

You can either import directives individually or import all at once using MATOMO_DIRECTIVES shorthand (or by importing MatomoModule if you still uses modules).

Alternatively, you may listen to click events at a high DOM level to catch them all (and then manually call MatomoTracker.xxx()), but this is probably not the recommended approach.
