Extension causing hangs in latest Chrome, Linux

Hello,

Not clear whether @Swingline0 has given up on the Store only or on this extension in general, but this is a super important part of my day-to-day usage, and I have had a strange experience of it suddenly and reliably hanging all of my Google tabs.

That is, it has worked fine for a while, but all of a sudden I got to a place where, every new tab open that shares a Google session (this is: Gmail, Google Search, Google Groups -- which I reached from Google search while trying to debug this) will last for a maximum of, say, maybe 10 seconds before they just completely hang and stop accepting input.

It happened a while ago and I wasn't diligent about removing plugins, and started getting on fine using Firefox... But then reformatted my system and tried Chrome again. All has been fine, but after about a week of having this plugin installed, the problem started to recur.

Today I removed a couple extensions one-by-one to see if the problem would solve. This was, I think, the second one that I removed, and seemed to fix it immediately.

Just posting here for anyone else experiencing this, or if there are any thoughts about what might be up. I saw that other post about LocalStorage not being instanced, and am thinking that may be related.

Hey there! This plugin isn't maintained at all anymore. I had seen an odd knockoff of it on the store that proclaimed to have Google support added that might be helpful for you. Other than that, I'd say it might be good to begin searching for an alternative. I'd love to hear back if you find a viable alternative!

Hey @Swingline0, thanks so much. I was using one in Firefox that was similar and worked well, called Temporary Containers... It doesn't look like there's a version for Chrome, however.

I'll look around and let you know if anything ever comes up...!
