I can't run Droid anymore, it used to work before, but with the latest update I'm getting core dumped error.
Illegal instruction (core dumped)

Removing the ~/.factory/ directory and then reinstalling Droid didn't solve the issue.
System: Ubuntu VM on an Intel X5650 CPU host (Hyper-V).

Hey @ryzen3100 - could you try re-installing droid by running the installation command from our docs again?

curl -fsSL https://app.factory.ai/cli | sh

That should put you on a version that's compatible with your VM.

Sadly as of 2026-01-09 the issue is back again.

@ryzen3100 thanks for the report. As a temporary workaround please run the installer again, it should fix the issue.

Meanwhile we are investigating a more reliable fix that doesn't require this workaround, so I will keep this issue open to track that.

@factory-davidgu I tried re-running the Droid installer, it did not work, but running the automated installer of Bun (which installed the correct baseline version) made Droid work again.
