I see this depends on winextras.

Is there anything stopping it from working on Linux?

I've made it in Qt so it could be compiled for Linux. But I don't use Linux on desktop so I don't check for compilation.
I've got some reports that some versions were successfully compiled and worked under Linux but that's about it.
