Fody Propertychanged not working in .Net MAUI

Describe the issue

Not able to build the .Net MAUI project after adding Fody.
Build is failing with error.
Error: Fody: No weavers found for the configuration entries PropertyChanged. Add the desired weavers via their nuget package.
Even though weaver present in the FodyWeavers.xml file.

Minimal Repro

Add Fody and PropertyChanged Fody to MAUI project and add the weaver file and try to build the project in visual studio and it is failing with the error mentioned earlier.

Make an effort to fix the bug

No Work around available. This is blocking the Xamarin to .Net MAUI migration

FYI, I think this is a .Net8/9 issue, not specifically Maui.

I am able to build and use a .netStandard2.0 lib project with Fody.Propertychanged and Maui8 ref's.

The O.P. is probably using a .Net8 Maui project (multi-target), which is almost exclusively shown in example code, even though .netStandard2.0 Maui packages are published.

Setting up a .NetStandard2.0/2.1 project to contain all your fody-ized objects is a possible work-around, IF you don't also need external/3rd party Maui packages that only target .Net8, which I have found is generally true, and annoying.
