Persistence of past instances of Master in Consul

I stopped the master service and then restarted it, but the new instance is shown separately and makes it seem initially that my master is failing.

However, they do disappear after a while.

Good observation, this is completely fine as consul waits for the TTL timeout before marking it as unhealthy. Until then, it still appears as an active service. The new instance registers as a separate service with a new instance ID. We can reduce the TTL timeout from 10 seconds to like 3-4 seconds for this
