Adding some "how to" ?

To you plan to add some documentation on how to deploy/use it ? It would be nice to have the possibility to deploy it on a Docker container.

Hi @aphentik, I know it is a long time since you left this comment. But I've been working on a forked version of this repo, with some small code changes, Docker (and optional Kubernetes) functionality and a script to auto-discover your hub's IP address and generate an API key.

If it interests you, please have a look here: https://github.com/damok6/apartmentMonitor. The utils/generate_launch_commands.py script will generate commands for you to run the code either from the command line (on a unix system) or in a Docker container.

I also plan to document this in the README, but just thought I would share this script to see if it helps.

Also @HyHend, I hope to do a pull request for this repo, after I modify the readme, if you find the additions useful.

Hi @HyHend,

I’m happy to have found your project. I tried to use it but since I had a JSON parsing error with what my hue bridge is responding, I started modifying the code and got carried away and got to export the csv to a very different table format the temperature and ambient light. I also made some modifications to have the programme create a new csv file each day. I noticed that the temperature and ambient light are updated on the hue bridge only every 5 minutes so I change the INTERVAL to 300 seconds.

Now I get a new csv file each day and plot it, at the moment with Excel. Each graph show the inside and greenhouse temperatures and ambient light at home. It is very interesting because I can see in the plots when it was cloudy or lights were turned on by the sensors. I hope one day I can write some code to analyse this automatically and add some cloud icons to the plot, LOL!.
