+Why You?
+
+As a student of the data science and AI batch of IIT Madras, I have used matplotlib extensively for infering data and visualizing it. It is a great tool for data scientists, and I really am excited to get an opportunity to work on developing this open source software. I am interested in contributing to open source projects, especially programs which I have enjoyed using and made my life easier as a data science student.

+What inspires you to be a PM on the MPL Open Source Project in The Programming Club? What are your various commitments for the upcoming year? How do you plan to manage your time between them?

+Being a PM on MPL Open source Project is going to introduce me to the the open source world, where I can contribute to projects and level up my software development skills. Currently, I am in the Anveshak Team (Software and Electronics), and a CS deputy placement coordinator. I know that I will have to manage all the PORs and do spend enough time doing all of them. I managed two PORs last year (Being part of the Sahaay ML team and a member of the AI club) along with academics and the time I needed to spend getting accustomed to the college. This year, I am confident that I can spend more time towards PORs since I had a year of experience managing PORs and academics side-by-side. I will make sure to complete tasks on time and spend atleast an hour or two everyday towards software development.

+I have practised Leetcode and Codeforces. I am still a beginner at coding and am looking forward to developing my skills even further. I have extensive programming skills when it comes to ML and AI (since most of the PORs I undertook were related to these), and program in Python, which is required for the MPL Open Source Project.
