Why:
As a developer, I need to upgrade our current Weaviate instance from Sandbox to Serverless ($25/month) to resolve production gRPC timeout issues that cause application failures in deployed environment while working correctly locally.

DoD:

• Upgrade current Weaviate instance from Sandbox to Serverless plan
• Update production configuration if needed for upgraded instance
• Test gRPC connection stability in production after upgrade
• Validate data retrieval performance improvements
• Monitor system for timeout resolution
• Verify all existing data remains intact after upgrade
• Document upgrade process and performance benefits

How:

• Access Weaviate dashboard and upgrade current instance to Serverless plan
• Verify connection endpoints remain the same after upgrade
• Update any necessary configuration for Serverless features
