windows: connect ok, but all operations are no-ops

[Windows version on win10]
I've created and imported a new PK and FS seems to connect. (At least choosing the Firebase Console brings up the correct app.)
All query operations give no results, and inserts after "commit' do nothing; however, there are no errors generated of any kind. (Also an invalid table name, or invalid SQL will simply spin for a while and then produce nothing.)

Same, even when trying to select the entire database, there is nothing returned. There is data in the database. Specifying a specific database yields the same results.
