Can Add Visual Metric Cards and City Map Embed to Improve City Overview UI #34
Description
The City Pulse app currently displays vital information like temperature, humidity, and AQI using plain metrics in columns. While functional, it lacks the visual engagement and context that could make the city data more intuitive and appealing.
Problems Identified:
Metrics (temperature, humidity, etc.) are displayed without emphasis or style.
Users can't quickly grasp the city's location visually.
Lack of a geographical component makes it feel abstract.
Suggested Enhancements:
Replace or wrap weather and air quality metrics inside visually styled metric cards (colored backgrounds or borders, icons).
Embed a live map (via folium or Streamlit st.map) to show the selected city on a map. (will prefer streamlit for maintaining uniformity).
Position map under the weather section for added context.
I would like to contribute here as it improves user experience and clarity, especially for users unfamiliar with the city and enhances engagement.
