Attribute Autocompletion

I've recently started using this extension so it's possible I've missed something.

Autocomplete for the tags generally works okay but I don't get tag-specific autocomplete fort the attributes. For example, using cfqueryparam I would expect autocomplete options for value, cfsqltype, etc. but instead it's blank until I start typing - which presumes I remember the exact name of the attribute. Even if I do I also have to type =" myself, defeating the whole point.

Is this a configuration issue on my part?

I did but I had the same result.

I've mucked around and I can get the contextual autocomplete to load by pressing ctrl + space (not all tags though). I switched back to this extension and they do all load this way. Is that expected? I'm used to an old IDE where as soon as you set the tag, pressing space triggers a list of the attribute options rather than having to manually trigger them by pressing ctrl + space as well.
