Add 'Usage Type' or other Consumption Method tracking to allow for seperated tracking of flower, vaped and edible consumption

I often have the desire to record when I am vaping the flower instead of smoking so that I can track for myself my transition and motivate it further, can also apply to edibles.
Furthermore it would be nice to track different consumption methods seperately too within the app.

The simplest solution I can think of is to provide three tabs at the top of the 'Usage' page denoted: Smoked, Vaped, Edibles... or maybe Flower, Vape, Edibles... or idk even Combusted, Vaped, Edible whatever works best.

Either the add box on each tab would add specifically to that tab, or the add box on all tabs would have an additional drop down box to denote the method of consumption.

Actually, thinking about it, the tabs could be named by the user and added at will, rather than chosen beforehand?
Or maybe with an example. But I don't know how much extra work it would be to do this instead of three specific tabs.

I presume user renamable tabs wouldn't be too difficult, but user addable tabs (say with a +tab button like a web browser) could invite far more complexity than is reasonable for the original feature request.

Alas, I have really benefitted from using your app to track my consumption - it is easier to motivate behavior change when it is visible how much money is being spent.
The graphs of usage times are also awesome for providing insights into usage times, amounts and trends - I think this will be helpful for applying for medical prescription.

I tried to work around it using the Description field, but I believe it's too primitive for the kind of typing that you're suggesting.

I'll think of an example on Figma and try to send it here once I have something ready.

Glad you like the idea! I have another one i'll be posting soon, inspired by my friends withdrawal and your symptoms page that could be very interesting to you.

I also tried to work around it using Description field, but as you suggest it is far too primitive for that.
Especially because I personally use the description field to track the strain on the flower, this way I have found some success making graphs externally using the export function (wonderful inclusion) so thank you. But there is not an easy way to distinguish between vaped, smoked, etc. using the description field, unless it was unused otherwise.

Perhaps then, the easiest workaround, would be to add additional fields:

• Description (keep or combine with Strain)
• Strain
• Consumption Method
  either adding 1 for consumption type, or 2 such that the description could be used to explain why/the original intention for that field, and then strain could and consumption method could be recorded seperately.

This implementation methodology should be far less difficult to implement than tabs, and tabs/consumption method filters could instead be present on the stats page?

It may be that I can pitch in some help with implementation, though I don't have any experience in Kotlin or Ruby - though i'm sure I can help work through the logic and pick Kotlin up in future. Either way, thanks again for your useful app!
