Guangdong Heavy Industry Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd. was restructured from the former Guangdong Fuel Industry Design Institute, established in 1959. Following its acquisition by Poly Development Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Guangye Inspection and Testing Group Co., Ltd. in 2008, it was renamed. The institute is a comprehensive Class A design institute featuring comprehensive professional divisions, robust technical capabilities, extensive design experience, and excellent service standards. As of 2023, the company employs over 2,000 staff members. Headquartered in Guangzhou Science City, it operates two wholly-owned subsidiaries: Heavy Industry Supervision and Heavy Industry Technical Consulting. The company boasts over 460 registered professionals in architecture, structural engineering, public utilities, geotechnical engineering, and other disciplines, along with over 1,400 personnel holding master's, doctoral, or key undergraduate degrees. It also hosts a Guangdong Provincial Doctoral Workstation.
The company specializes in four core business segments: design, geotechnical engineering, supervision, and consulting. Its services span all phases and aspects of engineering construction projects, including planning, design, consulting, investigation, monitoring and surveying, supervision, and construction drawing review, delivering comprehensive, one-stop, full-process services from project initiation to handover.
