New Platform Release v4.1.0 is now available

Hello MAAP Users,

A new Platform Release v4.1.0 is now available on ade.maap-project.org. For a detailed description please visit MAAP Platform Release v4.1.0.
Notable updates in this release:

New Features

• New Organizations features and user access control to DPS job queues.
  • More information here.
• Added ability for users to store secrets using maap-py and utilize them within DPS jobs.
  • More information here.
• New maap_base image that is optimized for dps builds containing just conda.
• DPS software upgraded to HySDS v5.2.0.

Breaking Changes

• Please migrate to the newer version of workspaces as soon as possible, to leverage the improved security.
• Some older algorithms may require re-registration due to underlying DPS software being upgraded.

Workspace impacts:

• None, to use the new features please start a new v4.1.0 workspace.

DPS Algorithm Impacts
-Some older algorithms may see an error stating /home/ops/.maap-dps.env file not found or /app/dps_wrapper.sh: line 10: python: command not found when running on the DPS.

• This requires re-registration of algorithms.
• • Unauthorized to use resource error. Please use one of the available queues for you or contact the Platform Team for your queue.

Bug Fixes

• Upon registering an algorithm using the registration UI, the link now opens in a new tab.
  • It also provides the path to where the config yaml file is stored in your workspace and a notification with the registration link and algorithm name/branch.
  • Display error if algorithms fails to submit for registration.

Security Improvements

• Enhanced security for DPS job management workspace to check if a user is logged in.

How to get the new release:

Currently-running workspaces will not automatically update to the new release. Please start a new workspace with version 4.1.0 to take advantage of these updates.
