New Platform Release v4.3.0 is now available

Hello MAAP Users,

A minor platform release v4.3.0 is now available on ade.maap-project.org. To use the new features, start a new v4.3.0 workspace.

Updates in this release:

• Updated to R 4.4.3 to resolve vulnerability CVE-2024-27322 https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2024-27322
  • This vulnerability enabled a maliciously crafted RDS (R Data Serialization) formatted file or R package to run arbitrary code on an end user’s system when interacted with
• Updated packages in the R image
  • Removed basemap, r-lwgeom and r-tmap packages to be able to update R
• Improved security and error handling for the MAAP API

Note that the R/ Python image is the only image with package updates
