New Datasets and Tutorials Available in MAAP

Hello MAAP Users,

We wanted to inform you all about some new datasets and tutorials that can be accessed through MAAP.

The "OPERA Surface Displacement from Sentinel-1 validated product (Version 1)" and "ESA CCI Biomass V5.01" datasets are newly released, with "ESA CCI Biomass V5.01" being the first ESA-hosted dataset on NASA MAAP. The following tutorials have been published in the MAAP Docs demonstrating how to access and visualize them:

• OPERA Surface Displacement from Sentinel-1: Access and Visualize: This tutorial aims to provide information and code to help users get started working with the OPERA Sentinel-1 Surface Displacement product using the MAAP.
• ESA CCI Biomass V5.01 — Access and Visualization (Token-secured): This notebook documents how to access and visualize the ESA CCI Biomass V5.01 dataset hosted on the ESA MAAP server.

In addition, the following new datasets have been made available in the MAAP STAC:

• GLAD: Annual maps of land cover and land use
• GLAD: Net change of land cover and land use between 2000 and 2020
• GLAD: Global Forest Change 2000-2023 v1.11
• Global Mangrove Watch (1996 - 2020) Version 3.0 Dataset
• New UWG-contributed datasets:
  • Circumpolar boreal forest structure from ICESat-2 & HLS (2020 v3.1): 30m aboveground woody biomass density
  • Circumpolar boreal forest structure from ICESat-2 & HLS (2020 v3.1): 30m vegetation height
