Sample project not working with issued Key

I have generated my API key at azure portal, but when why i use this in sample project upon binding the service it gives me log Binding result =50
-2
Api version: -2
Can you please explain it to me whats wrong

You will need to use a key in the "global" region. The other regional keys do not work with most samples yet, because the samples do not set the region header.
Let us know if using a key in the "global" region solves your problem.
