[Feature request] 2D lighting & shadow #23

Heave ho !
I have been using your library for the past 5 years, and the past 4 years in production internally in my company Glubux Ltd. (mostly known for our websites, like https://estcequecestbientotleweekend.fr/ or https://zombo.com/).
For our next project would like to be able to path trace shadows directly in 2D space in a photo physical way.
Is such a feature planned to be implemented in any way shape or form ?
