Requiring unique ESDL asset ID instead of name

how can we do this with minimal effort and maintain readeability of the results dict?

For the results we can always still use the name itself to check which id it requires. However since names itself will not have to be unique anymore, the results dict will consist of the ids. but we have a map from id to name if all names are unique.

If the dict really should be readable we should use the names and add unique ids at those ends, but that will not make it much better, as then we'll need an additional map to get back to the original esdl asset. And the naming will not match exactly the name of the esdl asset and thus will might also be difficult to understand. Only thing I can think of is then add a counter to the name, if it already exists, then add 1, 2, .... etc.

So you suggest to use the esdl_asset_name_to_id_map in the esdl_mixin?

For option one, you start in esdl_model_base to use the asset id instead of asset name in all the dicts. But one can could still use the mapping (esdl_asset_id_to_name_map ) for yourself to easily see results, but this requires unique names still.
