Cannot login - no SMS code is sent

I believe there may be bug or problem with the website during the login process.  Entering my phone number and clicking `GET CODE` button just returns the message:

Verification Code was sent to +1XXXXXXXXXX
```
Note: phone number scrubbed for privacy, but I double checked that it was correct and tried multiple times.

However, the code is never received on my phone.
