App occasionally crashes in iOS when dismissing Forecast expiration toast

KPAC was getting this error in Preview. Rusty was able to recreate in prod on iOS only.

Navigate to an expired forecast.
Try to x out of the expired forecast toast
Entire app freezes and eventually crashes

iOS 26 (just ran an update).
iPhone 14 Pro

Troy was on:
IOS 18.7.1
iPhone SE 3rd Gen

Update: this only happens in certain zones.

BAC - I cant get it to happen

Those are two that currently have expired forecasts

I cant reproduce this on any centers in prod or preview on iphone 14 pro :/

I couldn't hit it either, but I did hit a crash on Preview today just trying to navigate in the app. I wonder if they're related

If they're hard crashes, we should look to Sentry - there are few users right now so even just knowing that Rusty is accessing from Bozeman should help track this down to see if any of the crash reports are useful.

I found mine which was a C++ exception. It could be my inexperience with what to look for in Sentry, but I didn't see anything that was super super helpful. I can try to find his and see if it's any different

Lets look into it once we crank out some of the higher priority stuff. I'll help find it once things slow down (forecasts start happening)

App crashed on me 2x on iOS. Once trying to open forecast media. Once trying to dismiss a forecast expired notification. For Sentry purposes I was in Plymouth, MA on 11/27. The next day I tried and got it to happen in preview. I submitted a crash log. Uploaded the log here.
