request to increase the max focal length in the equipment profile wizard

A user reports that they have a focal length of 10,500 mm and they would like to be able to enter the value in the equipment profile, but phd2 will only accept values up to 10,000 mm.

Perhaps we could update the limit to 11,000 mm?

I’m operating a large RC telescope on La Palma also used for spectroscopy where I want to use PHD2 for guiding. Now I recognized that the maximum focal length I can enter in PHD2 is 10000mm, the telescope’s Nasmyth port used for spectroscopy however has a focal length slightly larger.
Since spectrographs often require larger focal ratios >= f10 a maximum focal length of 10m can quickly become a limiting factor.
Is there a possibility to increase the maximum focal length in PHD2?

Is this a typo? The focal length limit is 10,000, it was increased some time ago to accommodate the 90-inch scope at Kitt Peak which, as I recall, is more like 7000.

Can you find out what optical configuration he has that puts him at 10,500? The issue here is dealing with a microscopic image scale. Are they using a camera that has some combination of tiny pixels and huge binning that will result in something reasonable? There's no point in just making this change if, in the end, the set-up isn't going to work.
