How to implement Home-Away set-point functionality

There a number of considerations here: 

- auto-detecting this with sensors is infeasible as soon there are multiple people in one living space
- setting a Sun-Monday time schedule can be great but how should one handle the exceptions
- Simplest but worst way is simply have a button to tell the app your home or away
