Client Speed Test Not Working (iPref Issues)

So I want to use client based speed tests, but whenever I try to it says that ipref isnt enabled, but I have it set to true in the unraid docker settings and Im able to test ipref and it says its fine, but I set the ipref in unraid settings to false as a test, and it still will pass the check.

Also on a side note, I am having issues with doing a speed test with a network switch, and will proceed to get the error posted in the image below. (Hint its the big red text)

These are two different things. LAN Speed Test starts up iperf3 server on a UniFI Network device, or on another SSH device, then it uses the iperf3 binary on the server as the iperf client to test to the device (iperf server).

Client speed test runs iperf3 server on the Network Optimizer box so you can test to it from any device as a centralized speed test server.

The iperf3 setting only controls whether the embedded central iperf3 server runs, it'll still be able to run iperf3 tests to other hosts w/ the iperf3 client, so the gateway test you showed will always pass if SSH is set up and working.

On the switch issue, that's pretty normal, it doesn't have iperf3 installed so I should exclude it in my list of devices. I kept it pretty open for now as I wasn't quite sure if any of the higher end switches have iperf3 or not. Let me know what switch model it is and I'll exclude it.

The switch was a USW-16-PoE, and for the client speed test, how do i get that to work, bc I tried to use it like before, but it said it wasn't enabled or smth like that.

There's a new Unraid template I believe that corrects the iperf3 server setting. I'm not familiar with how to update that as I don't use it in my lab, but we got it fixed last week.

You might have an outdated template too, because the web-based speed test server should come up along with iperf3 if enabled. Let me see whether the template has that included (it's a separate docker container). I wish I had an Unraid box here to test it with... I use OMV on my NAS/project server. I can always run it in a VM just for testing though.
