Inserted images are always preceeded by a line break <br>

I'd like to insert small images to the description field of some of my photos. Using the feature that comes with the Extended Description plugin lets me insert the image but it is inserted preceeded by a line break

I would need the image to be inserted without this line break. Is there any way to do this?
