I've long wanted the hovers on labels/tags to be more understandable. Currently, they are annotated screenshots (with no consistent visual design language). For example:
I wonder if it would be better to switch to illustrations rather than images. The illustrations would allow us to immediately guide the user's eye to what's important.
For example, Amsterdam's labeling guide has a number of nice illustrations:
