Short Summary of the expected behavior:
The Arduino IDE should compile and upload code.

Short Summary of the buggy behavior:
Code compiled but at end of load got this error:

A fatal error occurred: Failed to write compressed data to flash after seq 40 (result was C900: Too much data) Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 2

Failure is intermittent.
I removed and reattached the USB cable.
Upload was successful.

Wrote 1017264 bytes (657957 compressed) at 0x00010000 in 9.9 seconds (effective 818.2 kbit/s)...
Hash of data verified.
