The submission "Generalized Bradley-Terry models" presents an extension to the R package hyper2 to provide functionality for fitting generalized Bradley-Terry models.
Overall it would seem that the submission could be improved by more clearly indicating the generalized model being estimated and provide some convenience fitting function which returns a classed object with associated methods as implemented by other packages providing Bradley-Terry models.
Furthermore it would seem that the hyper3 functionality has already been described in Hankin (2024). So it would be important to better explain the additional contribution of this submission.

We ask the author to improve the submission and re-submit before we send the submission out for review.
Further comments:

• Please proof-read the manuscript. E.g., the abstract contains ... a multiplicative factor λ; Generally, ...
• The package version available on CRAN for hyper2 is 3.1-0. The submitted source package is hyper2_3.2.tar.gz and it would seem that this version is required to successfully run the replication material. Please update the version on CRAN to avoid confusion.
• A general software overview on packages providing Bradley-Terry implementations is missing, including other environments but R.
