folia compatability?

assuming this relies directly on events and no schedulers (which i dont see a reason why it would) why not move to paper and have folia compatibility? most servers that would use this in the first place would be running a newer version of minecraft and even if they arent i believe paper plugins still mostly use the spigot api so i dont see why not..
