uiSlider sysex with 3 or 4 variables

Is it possible to have a uiSlider directly send out a sysex message that has variables for multiple fields?
ex: F0 17 22 id ch 01 01 ls ms F7
where id is the model of the unit, ch is the MIDI channel, and ls/ms are the standard data bytes?
bonus if the model ID can be set globally for all uiSliders.

Or does this require Lua (not a problem, just need to know before I start (re)coding a bunch of stuff)

You would set the channel to yy and the simplest way to set the id using a global variable is to do it in lua in a constructor function that runs when the panel first loads. Here I set global variable 0 to 05 and you access it using k0 - global variable 3 would be k3 etc.

excellent - that is exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to simply set the global outside of any particular method thinking the standard Lua rules for global vs local would apply.

This will save a bunch of extra coding and make the editor more flexible.
