Unable to load product files

I'm getting this error in install.log:

(Jan 23, 2023 10:53:43) Unable to load product files. Product files must be in the same folder as the input file. For help getting the product files, see the installation documentation on <a HREF="https://www.mathworks.com/pi_noprode_mpi_R2022b_glnxa64">MATLAB Answer</a>.

and a subsequent

mv: cannot stat '/home/username/.cache/yay/matlab/src/build/*': No such file or directory

during makepkg.

The expected products folder, according to the log file, is

$ tree src/matlab/archives
src/matlab/archives

3 directories, 2 files

Do you know what could have gone wrong here?
