@MehrabRahman Do you have more insight as to why Git Bash may prevent various users from pushing to GitHub? I know it was asked in class, but even after trying adjusting anti-malware settings, checking out Windows Credential Manager, adding an SSH key, and even running Git Bash as admin, there was no change in response of the blinking cursor. Upon quitting the program, a pop-up for "OpenSSH" comes up asking for GitHub username. After entered, then an "Application Error" window comes up to say "Error: error writing "stdout": broken pipe". I tried the above suggestions from classmates, but the only suggestion that worked was Github Desktop, which tracked all git changes, but prevents a simple CLI approach. Any thoughts on how to fix it? I have googled as well, but getting more references for Linux. I've had this problem for about 3 years now, so I would love to know how to approach, so it's not a repeat issue on the CLI.

@megrad79 A curious case. I'd like to see this error in action, but for now I imagine it has something to do with whatever you might have installed as your SSH client on Windows.

It's possible since you're using SSH that your keygen command requires a -m PEM argument to work. This is speculation however, so more context would be helpful.

Same thing happened here. We bypassed that problem by downloading GitHub app into my local machine, but, it stopped again working. I am trying to push file to a remote repository.

That did not fall under my specific problem for some reason. This however fixed my specific issue which, for some reason varied from others:

It only recently showed an error on the command line after uninstall and reinstall to a different drive. The known error after revisions to the system:

Feeling pretty relieved. 3-year issue solved!

(also solved maven install issues and some coding bugs today. :) feeling pretty pumped! Thanks for advising the use of chocolatey @MehrabRahman )
