Question: How does this differ from the current Chrome for Claude extension?

This was recently added by default in Claude Code. I was trying to find a differentiator but I either missed it or it was not clear.

Some differentiators I've found (as of Jan 2026) so far:

• Chrome for Claude extension only works on Anthropic subscription (pro/max), and not API keys.
• Chrome for Claude extension will refuse to work on certain sites like banking sites.
