I'm glad you like the integration. We wish SPAN was more on board with supporting local access because like your use case we could do more with integrating across not just SPAN products but across other vendors' products to SPAN's products, opening up the larger eco-system. I don't have a SPAN Drive charger so I don't know if it has a local interface like some of the SPAN Panel's. The panel itself does not expose any Drive charger capability although clearly internally the panel has Demand Side Management (DSM) features as the panel can modulate the load on the charger. You could try probing the charger IP address on port 80 with something like I seriously doubt SPAN has opened up any external control for the charger though - some folks can't even get their newer panels to work with the Home Assistant integration. All we can do is lobby SPAN to try to get them to publish some sort of API through the panel. In the meantime I guess you can use their cloud based App although I know that has drawbacks. |

First off, thank you for all of the great work on the Span panel integration! It's by far one of my favorite and most useful integrations thus far.
Are there any plans to further integrate the Span Drive charger (assuming the functionality is exposed by Span)? The primary use case would be to provide the ability to lock the charger when we're away and unlock when we're home. A near term workaround would be to toggle the breaker on/off based on home/away status, but I don't like the idea of toggling the power to the charger that frequently. I won't be much help writing the code, but given that I have a Drive, I'm happy to help support in any way that I can (e.g. providing logs).
