2025 has seen amazing achievements through the empowerment of AI in refactoring the code and adding new features. The Hailo-8 M.2 AI Accelerator Module is Compatible with Raspberry Pi 5, Based On The 26TOPS Hailo-8 AI Processor, with PCIe to M.2 Adapter Board.
AI empowered development has been a reality at ViewTouch since Ariel (ViewTouch co-owner) began refactoring the ViewTouch code base in June, 2025. No special Raspberry Pi hardware is needed for such participation. The Hailo-8 AI Accelerator, however, portends a future for ViewTouch users which hasn't even been discussed yet. Anyone wishing to participate in this discussion is more than welcome to begin the discussion here.
