What happened?

Creating a new virtual machine with the Linux Live ISO of OpenSuperClone, lets the Create Dialog Window crash / not respond in any way.

  • Creating a Windows 11 VM or a Ubuntu Desktop LTS VM worked without any problems.
  • Creating a VM without attaching the Live ISO and attaching it afterwards in the VM settings works flawlessly, looks like a bug in the Create Dialog for me
  • Installing Virtualbox in a Windows VM and trying to create a new OpenSuperClone VM, also resulted in a crash of the Create Dialog Window

Log files

Only log files of Virtualbox are created, no VM specific log files are found.

These are the log files of my host system:

VBoxSVC.log
selectorwindow.log

Log files of Virtualbox installed in a Windows VM:

VBoxSVC.log
selectorwindow.log

How can we reproduce this?

  1. Open "New Virtual Machine" Dialog by clicking Machine -> New
  2. Choose the Linux Live ISO of OpenSuperClone
  3. Changing any settings did not result in a different outcome
  4. Click "Finish", now the "New Virtual Machine" Dialog Window hangs / crashes

Did you upload all of your necessary log files, screenshots, etc.?

  • Yes, I've uploaded all pertinent files to this issue.
