Why not choose pi3 in your baseline？

I find pi3 is more robuster than VGGT.
Have you explored applying your Fin3R fine-tuning to the pi3 architecture?

Thanks for your interest in our work. The paper is submitted to NeurIPS in May; at that time Pi3 is not available. After submission, I'm working on other projects and do not have the plan to try fin3r on recent frameworks. But we hope our method can provide some insights for future training and fine-tuning of 3R family.
