Edgar speaker audio not working on Debian Trixie #375

Describe the bug
WIth a minimal Trixie stable install with i3 and the sof firmware, audio works from the headphones but not the speakers. The sytem detects both the HDMI and chtrt5650 sound cards. After running the script, no audio works anywhere and the system no longer detects the chtrt5650.
If I timeshift back, comment out the "options snd_intel_dspcfg dsp_driver=3" in conf/sof/hifi2-sof.conf, and run it again, both cards are still seen and the audio still works out of the headphones, but the speakers are still not working.
