trajectory translations

can't remember why we don't write the translations when analyzing a trajectory. Could be useful to write out.

Due to the order of rotation and translation calculations, it would take a lot of work to perform the translation calculation for each frame. It may be worth doing, if we ever have a test case that we care about.
