Python3 compatibility

Currently I rely on pyhash (see [here](https://github.com/flier/pyfasthash) and [here](https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pyhash/)). Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be compatible with Python3. Switch to another non-cryptographic hashing algorithm.
