Too many floating Gaussians in the empty space

Hi,
I’m applying GOF to the ScanNet++ dataset, but I’m seeing a lot of floating Gaussians in the scene (as shown in the attached images).

1. Is this a common issue with GOF?
2. Are there any recommended parameters (like opacity_threshold or densification settings) to reduce these floaters?
